RFE & Notice Responses

Targeted responses to a USCIS request for evidence that answer exactly what was asked, filed inside the window the notice sets.

Notice responses

What is a request for evidence?

A request for evidence is USCIS saying what it needs before it decides. It is not a denial — and a complete answer regularly turns into an approval.

  • Four notices, not one.

A request for evidence asks for more. A notice of intent to deny says the officer has tentatively decided against you. Notices of intent to revoke or terminate withdraw something granted.

  • The date on the notice is the whole deadline.

It generally cannot be extended, and the answer has to be received rather than posted. If your date is close, say so.

  • Officers can now deny without asking.

USCIS has restored full discretion to deny an insufficient filing outright rather than asking first, so any notice you do receive is the one chance the case gets.

Our approach

How Olvera Law Office answers a USCIS notice.

  • Work out what is actually questioned.

A missing document, an element of eligibility, and the bona fides of a relationship are different problems, and a response is only as good as the reading behind it.

  • Answer every point, once.

Documents, expert letters, affidavits, and translations are gathered against each item raised and go back as one package — a partial answer invites a denial.

  • Say so when the request is wrong.

Where a notice misreads the law or the evidence already filed, the response says so with authority. We also take over cases prepared elsewhere.

Eligibility

Eligibility.

This is for anyone holding a notice that asks for more, or warns of a denial.

You do not need to have filed the original case through this firm; many arrive with a notice already in hand on a filing someone else prepared.

What matters is the deadline on the notice and how complete the answer is. Where the case underneath is a work permit or a family petition, the response is written to its own standard.
