Before Mosiah practiced immigration law, he lived it — as a child, as a client, and as an applicant waiting on a decision.
Owner, Founder and Attorney
Mosiah Olvera came to the United States from Mexico as a toddler. He grew up here — and he grew up inside an immigration system that was slow, confusing, and indifferent to what was at stake for the families caught in it. He was a DACA recipient. He later became a lawful permanent resident. Today he is a U.S. citizen.
That path is why this practice exists. He knows what it is to wait on a decision that determines where you can work, whether you can drive, whether you can visit family, whether you can stay. He knows what a work permit means the first time it arrives in the mail, what a Social Security number opens up, and what a green card changes about the way a person plans a life. When a client describes the anxiety of an unanswered case or the fear of an unexpected letter from the government, he is not imagining it.
He practiced immigration law at an established immigration firm before founding Olvera Law Office, and he built this one as a solo practice by design. Clients work with the attorney handling their case rather than a rotating intake team, in English or in Spanish, from the first consultation to the decision. For Mosiah, this is personal.
